What should you do if your car skids on an icy road?

• Turn the steering wheel in the direction the rear of the car is sliding, and do not brake.
• Gently press the brake pedal a few times.
• Hold the steering wheel firmly and brake immediately.
• Drive gently off the icy road without braking.
